A leading global financial institution is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join its established derivatives legal team in London.
The role offers varied, high-quality work across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on:
- Credit derivatives
- Emerging markets
- Total return swaps (TRS)
- Repacks
- Significant risk transfers (SRTs)
- Other complex and bespoke derivatives transactions

The successful candidate will work closely with the trading business and senior stakeholders, providing commercially focused legal advice across a diverse and sophisticated derivatives portfolio.
Ideal Candidate:
- 6+ PQE
- Strong derivatives experience gained at a leading law firm and/or financial institution
- Experience across multiple asset classes
- Exposure to credit, EM, TRS, repacks, and/or SRTs would be particularly desirable
- Experience across all products is not necessary, but a strong understanding of some is ideal
