SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL
Summary
OneStream is looking for a senior commercial transactions lawyer with experience with software, SaaS, and professional services agreements to join the OneStream Legal team. The Senior Legal Counsel will cover multiple jurisdictions across EMEA. The successful candidate will partner with the Sales teams to draft and negotiate high value, strategically important SaaS Agreements along with ancillary documents including Data Protection terms, security terms, codes of conduct, DORA addendums and related materials. This position will be involved in the sales cycle from an early stage, helping Sales shape more complex transactions and interacting directly with customers and prospects, along with various departments, on the full range of contracting activities from NDA to termination.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS, software license agreements and professional services independently for the EMEA region.
- Draft, review, and negotiate other commercial agreements such as NDAs, vendor agreements, and other ad hoc documents.
- Provide support to Sales, Deal Desk, and Customer Success Managers on issues of contract interpretation and potential disputes.
- Conduct legal research on issues related to SaaS, software, and professional services across multiple jurisdictions.
- Lead or contribute to Legal team projects, which may include drafting new templates, working with specialist teams to solve new challenges, and other commercial or corporate projects.

Required Education And Experience
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practicing certificate.
- 5+ years PQE with at least 2 years specializing in software, SaaS, and professional services agreements.
- Fluent English language skills
- Experience working across a range of jurisdictions, particularly in Europe.
- Solid knowledge of Data Protection laws, specifically GDPR.
Preferred Education And Experience
- Demonstrated ability to quickly digest complex information and make well-reasoned, informed decisions.
- Highly motivated and a self-starter, as well as able to collaborate effectively with Legal team members and with other departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that can be adapted to any given situation, including difficult customer negotiations, C-Level executive summaries, and team collaboration.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Fluency with standard business tools, such as SalesForce, Docusign, and contract management systems.
- Additional European language and legal qualification – highly desirable

- Ethical, credible, and professional.
- Results-driven and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex topics to customers and prospects who may be unfamiliar with OneStream’s offerings.
- Able to multi-task and manage a busy workload across multiple time zones.
- Comfortable interacting with C-level executives.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a “can-do” approach to new challenges.
- Team player with an enthusiasm for contributing to the success of team members and OneStream as a whole.

Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria. Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply.
Gross annual base salary
£73,000—£95,000 GBP
All candidates must be legally authorized to work for any company in the country where this position is located without sponsorship.
