As Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide legal support across Invesco's products, services, and distribution activities throughout EMEA, with a particular focus on the UK market. - Lead the review, drafting, negotiation, and ongoing management of legal agreements with clients and business partners across the EMEA region, particularly in the UK, including investment management agreements and strategic partnership arrangements.
- Support and oversee legal matters relating to EMEA product initiatives and other business teams delivering related services.
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on their impact on EMEA products, services, and the distribution of Invesco-managed funds globally.
- Assist with regulatory inquiries, corporate initiatives, policy development, process enhancements, and contractual matters.
- Collaborate effectively with legal colleagues worldwide to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal support across the organization.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction, with the right to practice in the UK.
- Significant post-qualification experience gained either in-house within an investment management or financial services organization, or within the financial services practice of a leading law firm.
- Proven experience negotiating complex agreements with large institutional counterparties.
- Experience working within an international organization is advantageous.
- Experience advising asset management businesses is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of:

- Strong commercial judgment and business acumen.
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence, persuade, and build consensus.
- Comfortable operating in a multicultural and international environment.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Able to work independently and drive matters through to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal English; business-level German or Italian would be a distinct advantage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
