Travelex
Travelex is an iconic global brand with a rich heritage in foreign currency. A market-leading foreign exchange specialist, the business covers the entire value chain of the foreign exchange industry.
This is a great opportunity to join Travelex’s strong in-house legal team who are a fully integrated strategic business partner to the global business.
Travelex Legal is based primarily in the UK (mostly London), Sao Paulo, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, and Sydney, and is made up of 14 lawyers of different levels of qualification and specialisation. This role would report to the General Counsel but is likely to have close involvement in other areas of the business as well.
Travelex is divided up into 6 main geographical regions: ANZ, Asia, MET, UK, Europe, and Brazil, and is managed via a divisional structure, with responsibility for certain of its products and specialist areas assigned to SMEs who operate across the geographies. The culture is friendly and inclusive with an emphasis on development, learning, and upskilling.
About The Role
Travelex is seeking an experienced lawyer (circa 3-5 years' PQE, although this is intended as a guide rather than a strict requirement) with expertise in debt finance and corporate law.
The successful candidate will provide legal support on a range of significant financing matters and strategic business initiatives. In addition, the role will involve advising on a broad spectrum of corporate activities, including M&A transactions, corporate governance, and other key Group projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to the delivery of high-impact commercial and legal priorities across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
