Senior Legal Counsel (Commercial) | Global Media Business | London

An international market-leading PLC is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join its high-performing global legal team. This is a commercially focused role supporting strategic business activity across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular emphasis on complex client and commercial agreements.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, commercial teams, and business leaders, you will play a key role in negotiating, structuring, and advising on high-value transactions while helping the business navigate an evolving regulatory landscape.

This is a broad, deal-focused commercial legal position where you will:

  • Lead negotiations on complex client, supplier, and strategic commercial agreements.
  • Provide pragmatic legal advice to commercial, sales, and business development teams.
  • Support major client pitches, contract renewals, and revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Advise on a range of legal and regulatory issues including data privacy, AI, IP, and contractual risk.
  • Partner with colleagues across an international legal function to ensure consistency of approach and best practice.
  • Help mitigate legal and commercial risk while enabling business growth.

We are interested in speaking with lawyers who can demonstrate:

  • 8+ years' PQE who have trained in private practice with some in-house experience (either now working in-house or as a secondment) with a background in corporate or commercial law.
  • Strong experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex commercial contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead negotiations and manage sophisticated commercial transactions independently.
  • Working knowledge of contract law, data privacy, intellectual property, and emerging technology issues.
  • Confidence operating in a fast-paced, international business environment.
