Senior Legal Counsel (Privacy) | 6-Month Contract | Fully Remote
We're currently working with a leading international technology organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Legal Counsel (Privacy) for an initial 6-month contract commencing 28 September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded privacy team supporting innovative consumer-facing digital products, including cutting-edge personalisation and AI-driven features. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer privacy remains central to the development and deployment of new products and technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead privacy counsel for a portfolio of customer-facing digital products and services
- Advise on privacy implications of new product launches, personalisation initiatives and AI-related developments
- Develop and maintain scalable privacy frameworks that support both existing and future products
- Provide guidance on lawful bases for processing personal data, including consent, legitimate interests and contractual necessity
- Support consent management and broader regulatory compliance programmes
- Advise on tracking technologies, cookies and related privacy considerations
- Assess the use of sensitive personal data and provide pragmatic, risk-based recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across legal, product, technology and commercial teams
- Identify opportunities to improve privacy governance, processes and operational efficiency

About You
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' experience gained within a leading law firm and/or multinational organisation
- Strong background in data protection, privacy compliance and product counselling
- Experience advising technology, digital or consumer-facing businesses
- Deep understanding of GDPR and familiarity with wider European digital regulation, including ePrivacy, the Digital Services Act and emerging AI regulation
- Comfortable supporting complex and innovative technology products
- Strong stakeholder management and project management skills
- Able to provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice in a fast-moving environment
- CIPP/E, CIPT or similar privacy qualifications are advantageous
