We are seeking a senior and commercially-focused Senior Legal Counsel to support the leadership of the EMEA legal function within a fast-paced, technology-driven brokerage and trading business.

The successful candidate will combine technical excellence with strong commercial judgement, and will be comfortable operating in a front-office-facing environment supporting trading, product, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management, including C-suite stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the legal team across EMEA
  • Drive alignment between Legal, Compliance, Risk, and the business

Digital Assets

  • Lead legal support for the firm’s digital assets offering, including crypto assets, tokenised products, and associated payment arrangements
  • Advise on regulatory perimeter issues, including interaction with FCA guidance, EU MiCA framework, and cross-border considerations
  • Support product structuring, client disclosures, and risk frameworks for digital asset offerings
  • Monitor and interpret developments in crypto regulation and market practice

Financial Services Regulation

  • Provide high-level legal advice on regulatory frameworks applicable to brokers and wealth platforms, including:
    • MiFID II
    • FCA Rules
    • EMIR
  • Support regulatory analysis relating to wealth management services
  • Advise on regulatory perimeter issues, particularly in relation to hybrid brokerage/wealth propositions
  • Support engagement with regulators (e.g. FCA) and regulatory change initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
