This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior in-house legal role supporting a fast-growing technology business across the EMEA region and beyond.
The position is centered on complex SaaS commercial contracting, partnering closely with enterprise sales teams to help accelerate business growth.
You will also advise on privacy, intellectual property, employment, cybersecurity, corporate matters, and product-related legal topics.
The role offers significant autonomy, with opportunities to lead cross-functional legal projects and shape policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
You will collaborate with teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, People, Partners, Finance, and external counsel.
Working in a fully remote and international environment, you will contribute to both regional priorities and broader global legal initiatives.
This is an opportunity for a pragmatic, commercially minded lawyer to make a visible impact while working across a diverse range of legal challenges.
Accountabilities
- Lead the drafting, review, redlining, and negotiation of SaaS enterprise sales agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, Terms of Service, and other commercial contracts, enabling sales teams to close business efficiently and confidently.
- Partner closely with enterprise sales and other commercial stakeholders to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice throughout the sales cycle.
- Review and negotiate partnership, procurement, marketing, and other strategic commercial agreements across the EMEA region and, where required, globally.
- Advise internal stakeholders on data privacy, intellectual property, information security, corporate matters, and broader business risk mitigation.
- Provide legal guidance on employment and labor law matters and lead relevant HR-related legal projects.
- Support new product initiatives and feature launches by identifying legal considerations, assessing risks, and helping teams move forward with appropriate safeguards.
- Draft, review, maintain, and improve company-wide policies in line with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulations, assess their business impact, and recommend updates to contracts, policies, and operational practices.
- Independently lead end-to-end cross-functional legal projects across multiple regions, coordinating with internal stakeholders and local external counsel where appropriate.
- Develop and deliver legal training for business teams, helping employees understand and confidently manage routine legal matters.
- Drive continuous improvement of legal processes, templates, documentation, and governance frameworks to promote consistency and best practices.
- Conduct accurate, concise legal research and provide clear recommendations on complex or emerging issues.
- Contribute to regional legal strategies that support sustainable business growth and operational objectives.
- Collaborate with the broader legal team on documentation, administrative responsibilities, strategic priorities, and evolving business needs.

Requirements:
- Law degree and admission to the bar in at least one European jurisdiction.
- 4+ years of professional legal experience, with a strong focus on drafting, redlining, and negotiating commercial or sales contracts.
- Significant in-house experience supporting enterprise sales teams within a SaaS, technology, or similarly fast-paced business environment.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating customer-facing agreements, including MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, Terms of Service, and related SaaS contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting and legal processes, with particular depth in enterprise sales agreements.
- Broad and well-developed knowledge of the EU legal framework; familiarity with UK and/or U.S. law is strongly preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, with outstanding legal drafting and negotiation capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of matters effectively while working against tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across Sales, Finance, HR, Product, Marketing, and other functions.
- Ability to provide concise, commercially focused legal advice and translate complex legal concepts into practical business recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand different stakeholders' needs and develop creative, balanced solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of matters from start to finish, and operate effectively within a broader legal team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, international environment.
- Demonstrated AI literacy and an interest in using AI tools responsibly to improve productivity, decision-making, research, and quality of legal work.
- Proactive, resourceful, accountable, and solution-oriented approach, with the adaptability to contribute across a broad range of legal projects.
- Collaborative mindset, optimism, and a good sense of humor while maintaining professionalism.
