Your new company

A well-established organisation is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join its Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional to manage a varied caseload while providing technical guidance and support across the wider team.

Your new role

  • Manage claims from initial assessment through to conclusion.
  • Assess claims in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review documentation and gather additional information where required.
  • Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally.
  • Provide guidance and support to customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret policies and ensure accurate application of terms and conditions.
  • Appoint and liaise with legal representatives where appropriate.
  • Review costs and escalate complex matters when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, sharing technical expertise and best practice.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a claims handling or case management environment.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using case management systems.

What you'll get in return

  • Salary of £30,000-£32,000 per annum.
  • Hybrid working with 2 days in the Bradley Stoke office.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
