A well-established organisation is seeking a Senior Claims Handler to join its Legal Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced claims professional to manage a varied caseload while providing technical guidance and support across the wider team.
Your new role
- Manage claims from initial assessment through to conclusion.
- Assess claims in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Review documentation and gather additional information where required.
- Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally.
- Provide guidance and support to customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- Interpret policies and ensure accurate application of terms and conditions.
- Appoint and liaise with legal representatives where appropriate.
- Review costs and escalate complex matters when required.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance at all times.
- Support and mentor junior team members, sharing technical expertise and best practice.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a claims handling or case management environment.
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities.
- Confident decision-maker with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills, including experience using case management systems.
What you'll get in return
- Salary of £30,000-£32,000 per annum.
- Hybrid working with 2 days in the Bradley Stoke office.
- 35-hour working week.
- Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.
