Senior Lettings Negotiator
📍 Dukinfield, Tameside
💷 £28,000 – £32,000 per year, depending on experience
🕘 Monday – Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
📋 Full-time | Permanent
@ThePlace Estate Agents is growing — and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Lettings Negotiator to join our team.
We’re an independent estate agency with a strong focus on exceptional service, communication and building long-term relationships with our landlords and tenants.
As our lettings portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who can take ownership of their role, support the wider team and help us continue to develop our lettings department.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the day-to-day management of our lettings portfolio, ensuring landlords and tenants receive an excellent level of service while maintaining high standards of compliance.
This is primarily an office-based role, with property viewings, inspections, landlord appointments and property visits when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing property compliance and legislative requirements
- Overseeing maintenance issues through to completion
- Completing tenant referencing and preparing tenancy agreements
- Arranging inventories and tenancy documentation
- Responding promptly and professionally to landlord and tenant enquiries
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants and contractors
- Providing regular updates throughout the tenancy
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues where appropriate
- Helping drive the continued growth and development of the lettings department

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience within residential lettings
- A strong understanding of lettings legislation and compliance
- The confidence to take ownership and make decisions
- The ability to delegate, support and mentor colleagues
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good systems and software skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to prioritise effectively
- A desire to develop their career within a growing independent agency
- A full UK driving licence and access to their own vehicle
