Senior Lettings Negotiator
Join our friendly, established team at SP Sales & Lettings
SP Sales & Lettings is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Senior Lettings Negotiator to join our established and friendly team.
We’re a family-run independent estate agency with strong local roots, and we believe that great property services start with great people and great customer service.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, building relationships and going the extra mile for their clients. Someone who can communicate confidently, stay organised in a busy environment and take pride in providing a personal service to both landlords and tenants.
This is more than simply a lettings role. We’re looking for someone who wants to build a career with SP, become an important part of our team and take on increasing responsibility as the business continues to grow.
The Role
As Senior Lettings Negotiator, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running and growth of our lettings department. You’ll manage the lettings journey from the initial enquiry through to tenancy, ensuring landlords and tenants receive a professional, friendly and seamless service throughout.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Speaking with prospective tenants by phone, email and in person to understand their requirements and help them find the right property.
- Conducting property viewings confidently and professionally, showcasing properties and answering questions along the way.
- Building strong and lasting relationships with landlords, tenants and applicants.
- Handling offers and negotiating tenancy terms professionally and effectively.
- Managing the lettings process from initial enquiry through to tenancy agreement and move-in.
- Preparing tenancy agreements and coordinating move-in arrangements.
- Keeping accurate records of enquiries, applicants, viewings, offers and negotiations within our CRM system.
- Working closely with landlords and our property management team to ensure properties are professionally presented and successfully let.
- Responding promptly to enquiries and providing a consistently high level of customer service.
- Helping to grow our lettings portfolio by identifying opportunities and developing strong landlord relationships.
- Supporting the wider lettings team and contributing ideas to improve our service and processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
Customer service is at the heart of this role. We’re looking for someone who is approachable, professional and genuinely enjoys helping people.
You’ll ideally have previous experience within lettings or estate agency, particularly in a negotiator or senior negotiator role, but just as importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude and personality.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Customer-focused and passionate about delivering an excellent level of service.
- Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with people from all backgrounds.
- A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Organised and able to manage multiple enquiries, properties and deadlines.
- Confident when negotiating and dealing with landlords, tenants and applicants.
- Proactive and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be asked.
- Professional, reliable and able to remain calm in a busy environment.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a small, friendly team.
- Ambitious and keen to develop their career within the property industry.
- Detail-focused, particularly when dealing with important documentation and tenancy processes.
- Previous administrative experience is essential, and additional languages would be advantageous.
