About HundredStar Games
HundredStar Games is an independent video game developer based in Hackney Wick, East London, founded by Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill, previous founders of Rocksteady and the creative leadership team of Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham series.
Growing to a maximum of 100 people over the next few years, we’re doing things differently at Hundred Star, so we can focus on making great games and building meaningful connections with those we work with.

Role: Senior Level Designer
We’re looking for a Senior Level Designer to join our growing studio and create engaging, memorable, and highly playable game spaces that support both gameplay and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Create grey block level layouts which guiding players through their objectives by crafting environments built with clear gameplay and pacing intentions in accordance with the direction guidelines.
- Collaboratively work with other departments across the studio to request assets and tools allowing for the creation of grounded and rich environments which tell a story.
- Playtest and refine level layouts, embracing feedback to ensure that our levels balance fun, challenge and story pacing.
- Monitor the evolution of your levels as they pass through other disciplines, ensuring the level design intentions are respected towards final delivery.
- Implement scripted story sequences, dialogue or events in levels.
- Support with the creation of thrilling gameplay content that excites and delights our players.
- Provide mentorship and support to more junior members of the team, facilitating a positive and collaborative working environment.

Requirements:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of working in UE4/UE5 and its related tools.
- Sustained experience designing levels for realistic, AAA projects and using in engine 3D modelling tools.
- Strong understanding of space, flow and pacing.
- Innately curious, you keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Experience with visual scripting and sequencing tools would be an advantage.
