We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Senior Licensing Manager.

You will play a pivotal role in growing one of the world's most iconic sports and entertainment brands. Leading new business acquisition across global licensing categories and markets, you will identify, negotiate and secure strategic licensing partnerships that expand the Club's international consumer products presence.

You will help shape licensing strategy, drive commercial growth, and deliver complex partnership deals that maximise the value of Liverpool FC's brand and intellectual property. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, outstanding relationship management skills, and the ability to operate effectively across diverse international markets.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a global stage, with regular travel to Liverpool and international travel required for licensee meetings, trade shows, and key business development activities.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead new business development efforts, securing high-value licensing partnerships across global categories and markets.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, delivering against revenue and commercial growth targets.
  • Develop compelling commercial proposals, category insights, and presentations to win new business.
  • Represent Liverpool FC at industry events and trade shows, identifying opportunities, building networks, and staying ahead of market trends.
  • Support the development and execution of the Club's global licensing strategy, identifying new categories, products, and regional growth opportunities.
  • Provide market intelligence and commercial insights to inform strategic decision-making and maximise brand growth.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with key licensees, driving account growth through renewals, upselling, cross-selling, and long-term planning.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, ensuring partners meet agreed commercial objectives, KPIs, and growth plans.
  • Collaborate with licensees to deliver innovative products and marketing initiatives that enhance the global fan experience.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Product Development, Retail Marketing, and Merchandising to ensure successful deal execution and commercial alignment.
  • Present commercial opportunities and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing decision-making and protecting long-term revenue growth.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities within partner portfolios and implement strategies to optimise performance.

Who are we looking for?

  • Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significate, proven experience in licensing, commercial partnerships, or consumer products, with proven success closing high-value deals and managing strategic accounts.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and closing significant licensing agreements.
  • Experience managing strategic accounts in international licensing environments.
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs in a commercial, target-driven role.
  • Experience operating across global markets, adapting strategies to local consumer and retail dynamics.
  • Experience within international licensing, sports, entertainment, or consumer brands.
  • Understanding of global retail, category dynamics, and product development processes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in revenue forecasting, sales pipeline management, and P&L awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex deals simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable navigating cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically to meet partners, attend events and close deals.
