Role Description
Due to continued growth at ITS Lifting, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Lifting Inspection & Testing Engineer to join our team. The Senior Lifting Inspection & Testing Engineer is a full-time, on-site position with our Head Office based in Maldon, Essex. This role involves planning, conducting, and documenting thorough examinations of lifting and material handling equipment, in line with relevant safety standards and legislation. The engineer will perform static, dynamic load testing and prepare detailed test reports, and upload data to the online client portal.

The role requires a close collaboration with the wider team to ensure timely site visits, accurate completion of jobs, and consistently high levels of customer service. The Senior Lifting & Testing Engineer will be visiting client's sites to carry out the works throughout the South East of England and where required further afield.
Qualifications
We’re particularly looking for someone with:
- Strong foundation in inspection and testing principles.
- Hands-on experience with Runway Beam Testing, Lift Shaft Beam Testing, Overhead Crane System Testing, Fixing Testing etc.
- Multiple Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., LOLER, PUWER, WAH, PPE and other applicable guidelines).
- Relevant manufacturer and industry training.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturer documentation, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for providing clear advice to clients and producing precise, concise inspection and test reports.
- Proven experience in field-based inspection or engineering roles, including working on customer sites and managing time and priorities independently.
- Competence with digital reporting tools and online portals for recording inspections, certificates, asset histories, and timesheets.
- Valid UK full driving license and willingness to travel to client locations as required.
