Why Receptional and Why This Role
We're the team iGaming operators turn to when growth matters most — and we're growing fast ourselves. At Receptional, you'll find colleagues who are bright, ambitious, and genuinely supportive. Specialists who do their best work together, sharing ideas, moving fast, and holding themselves to a high bar.
Whether you're starting out or stepping up, you'll get genuine investment in your development through our internal academy, real variety in your work, and a direct impact on some of the biggest names in the industry. Competitive benefits, flexible working, and a team that has your back.
We were named Marketing Services Supplier of the Year at the EGR B2B Awards 2026, and Best Medium Agency to Work For at the Company Culture Awards 2025 — recognition for the work we do and the place we've built to do it.
Link-building in iGaming is one of the most scrutinised and competitive outreach environments in digital marketing. Publishers are selective, budgets need to stretch, and the placements that genuinely move SEO performance take experience and persistence to secure.
As a Senior Link-Building Outreach Specialist at Receptional you'll be leading from the front — owning complex client accounts, managing and developing direct reports, overseeing third-party spend, and helping shape the outreach strategy across the team. This is a step up from execution; you'll be expected to bring strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and the kind of expertise that junior team members can learn from.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a senior outreach role with real leadership responsibility. You'll be running complex link-building campaigns for iGaming clients from end to end, while managing direct reports and contributing to the strategic direction of the Off-Page SEO team. The pace is fast, the client expectations are high, and you'll be expected to bring the kind of experience that sets the standard for the team around you.
In Practice, That Looks Like
- Developing and owning strategic link-building plans across a portfolio of iGaming clients — from research and targeting through to placement and performance analysis
- Sourcing high-quality publications and websites aligned to each client's sector and objectives
- Crafting compelling outreach communications and negotiating placements within agreed budget parameters
- Developing targeted content assets designed to secure placements — written to editorial standard, built around what publishers actually want
- Monitoring third-party spend proactively — identifying overspend risks early and addressing them through effective negotiation
- Managing and developing your direct reports through regular 1-1s, SMART goal setting, performance reviews, and hands-on guidance
- Owning your client accounts end-to-end: transparent monthly updates, strategy sessions, KAM planning, and client meetings
- Presenting campaign insights and performance to clients and internal stakeholders with confidence
- Contributing to agency marketing and growth initiatives — newsletters, blog posts, and client development plans

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For
You'll need to be a confident leader as well as a strong practitioner — someone who can run complex client accounts and develop the people around them at the same time. In iGaming, the margin for error is small: budgets are scrutinised, placements need to stack up commercially, and clients expect a senior point of contact who knows their stuff. You'll also be managing direct reports, so the ability to give clear direction, honest feedback, and genuine support comes with the territory.
Essential
- 2+ years' experience in off-page SEO and link-building, ideally agency-side
- Proven line management or mentoring experience — you've developed people, not just worked alongside them
- A strong track record of securing high-quality placements through compelling outreach and effective negotiation
- Proficient with outreach and SEO tools — BuzzStream, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or equivalent
- Experience managing third-party budgets — tracking spend, flagging risks, and negotiating to stay on target
- Data-driven mindset: you set measurable goals, track performance, and optimise based on what the numbers tell you
- Confident presenting to clients and senior stakeholders — you can hold a room and handle difficult questions
- Comfortable using AI tools to support content production and outreach workflows
