As a Senior LNG & Natural Gas Analyst
You will play a key role in driving Kpler’s European natural gas and global LNG market research offering. Operating at the intersection of quantitative modeling, market analysis, and client engagement, you will build and maintain forecasting models that translate complex energy flows into clear, actionable intelligence. Working as part of the LNG & Natural Gas Insight team, you will regularly publish market-defining reports and engage directly with clients, industry leaders, and media to present Kpler’s house views.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and refine forecasting models: Develop, maintain, and enhance quantitative supply and demand models capturing European natural gas and LNG market dynamics with high predictive accuracy.
- Analyse European energy flows: Monitor complex market datasets daily to identify emerging trade trends, structural shifts, and fundamental drivers across European gas infrastructure.
- Generate actionable market insights: Produce high-impact research articles, reports, and expert commentary that link European natural gas developments to global LNG market implications.
- Engage clients and present market views: Deliver Kpler's market insights directly to clients, prospective customers, and media, presenting key findings at industry events and conferences.
- Automate data pipelines: Leverage programming tools to automate data collection, refine model inputs, and streamline analytical workflows.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with adjacent research desks (Power, Refineries, LPG) and market data teams to expand Kpler's overall gas coverage.

Experience & Background
- 5+ years of experience in natural gas or LNG market analysis, with at least 3 years specifically covering European gas markets.
- Strong technical proficiency in dataset analysis using advanced Excel, alongside hands-on coding experience in SQL, Python, or VBA for model development and automation.
- Proven track record of building, maintaining, and justifying quantitative market models and fundamental forecasts.
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience delivering data-backed views to internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Econometrics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
