Senior LNG Optimiser (Singapore-based)
Location: Singapore (relocation assistant will be provided)
The Role
We're seeking a Senior LNG Optimiser to own portfolio optimisation across the global LNG business. You'll run daily optimisation tools, evaluate high-value deal opportunities in real-time, develop and manage the global LNG optimization with the trading team.
What You'll Own
Portfolio Optimisation & Scheduling
- Build and maintain delivery schedules by integrating inputs from trading, chartering, and operations teams
- Run daily optimisation to support trader decisions and identify value opportunities
- Evaluate spot and structured deals, quantifying portfolio impact
- Ensure optimisation outputs flow into daily P&L reporting

Tools & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with quantitative analytics to enhance optimisation tools and methodology
- Build proprietary capability to capture portfolio complexity and new trading strategies
- Document models, assumptions, and optimisation run history
- Identify opportunities to extract value through tool innovation
What We're Looking For
Experience (10+ years)
- LNG Portfolio optimisation, commercial scheduling, or trading operations at a major energy or LNG portfolio company
- Track record running optimisation tools integrated with commercial trading systems in live environments
- Deep expertise in energy commodity economics, contract structures, and global supply arbitrage
- Proven ability to deliver measurable optimisation value working alongside trading desks

Technical Capability
- Advanced Excel skills; Python or R strongly valued
- Comfort with commercial optimisation platforms and trading systems
- Ability to translate quantitative analysis into clear, actionable recommendations under time pressure
- Strong grasp of contract optionality and flexibility valuation
Leadership & Commercial Judgment
- Track record leading high-impact teams while staying hands-on
- Credible relationships with traders, operators, and senior leadership
- Strong commercial instinct and sound decision-making within trader mandates
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts clearly
