About the team
Heritable Development Finance represents a joint venture between OSB Group and Heritable Capital Limited. Heritable’s core business is the funding of residential and mixed-use developments and we work closely with developers and housing associations to understand their complex funding requirements.
Heritable provides senior debt for new build developments as well as for the conversion and refurbishment of existing buildings. We understand that a specialist sector needs expert knowledge and we are a small team of 14 who have many years of experience working for a number of niche development funders.
Based from our London office, we are looking for a Senior Loan Operations Officer to join the team.
What you will be doing?
We are looking for an experienced loan servicing professional to join our Loans Administration team. This role is responsible for the administration and servicing of development finance loans, ensuring all operational, payment, security, and compliance activities are managed accurately throughout the lifecycle of each facility.
Working independently from the front office, the Loans Administration team plays a key role in maintaining controls, ensuring procedures are followed, and supporting the effective management of the loan portfolio.
The successful candidate will work closely with borrowers, solicitors, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to deliver a high standard of service and administration.
Your responsibilities will include…
- Servicing and administering a portfolio of development finance loans throughout their full lifecycle
- Processing loan transactions, including drawdowns, repayments, fees, and interest payments
- Reviewing surveyor reports and prepare stage payments for approval
- Ensuring loan conditions, security requirements, and supporting documentation are completed and maintained
- Liaising with borrowers, solicitors, surveyors, and internal teams to support ongoing loan servicing activities
- Opening, updating and maintaining loan accounts and records on the Phoebus system
- Completing customer due diligence (CDD) and other regulatory checks
- Monitoring loan performance and arrears, escalating issues where appropriate
- Reconciling loan and bank accounts and investigate any discrepancies
- Preparing and reviewing loan statements, redemption statements, and security release documentation
- Producing management information and support audit and reporting requirements
- Assisting with the collection of outstanding payments and the ongoing management of borrower accounts

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
