An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Locally Employed Doctor to join the EMERGE team in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team, providing high quality assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and young people with a range of mental health difficulties.

The Role

The post offers a varied clinical role with opportunities to develop specialist skills, contribute to service development and work closely with colleagues across health, education and social care. You will receive regular consultant supervision and be supported to develop your clinical and professional interests within a friendly and collaborative service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children and young people referred to CAMHS, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Undertake new assessments, manage follow up clinics, support medication management where appropriate and contribute to multidisciplinary formulation and care planning.
  • Work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists and partner agencies to deliver safe, effective and person centred care.
  • Contribute to service development, quality improvement, teaching and supervision, with regular consultant supervision and support for ongoing professional development.
