Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Colorectal and General Surgery

About the Role
We are inviting applications for the post of Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Colorectal and General Surgery, suitable for a trainee who has completed CST training and has passed the MRCS.
Responsibilities
- Broad case mix including general surgery and colorectal surgery with exposure to pelvic floor surgery
- Participation in the on-call rota at Specialty Registrar level (full shift, 1:10)
- Consultant-led training in the operating theatre
- Participation in out-patient clinic sessions, theatre lists, and teaching foundation doctors/medical students as required
- Gain experience in general and colorectal surgery including emergency general surgical procedures
- Involvement in audit and research
- Encouragement to take up leadership and service improvement roles
Conditions
- Candidates unable to work full-time are eligible to apply; job content modifications will be discussed on a personal basis
- Joining the 1:10 full shift on-call rota in General Surgery at Specialty Registrar level
