Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Controller to join our team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects across the region.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will provide regional ownership and expertise in site organisation, logistics planning, stores management and material control. You will ensure projects are delivered in line with NG Bailey Site Organisation Guidelines, driving productivity, reducing waste and supporting safe, efficient project delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.
This role will work closely with project teams, procurement, suppliers and logistics personnel to develop and implement logistics strategies from tender stage through to project completion.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Championing a safety-first culture and demonstrating visible Health & Safety support across all project activities.
- Developing and implementing project-specific logistics strategies during tender and pre-construction phases, ensuring continual improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting project teams in reducing material discrepancies and improving OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery performance.
- Managing stores operations and material control processes to ensure efficient site logistics.
- Overseeing the utilisation and return of internal and external plant resources, ensuring maximum value and cost control.
- Ensuring all deliveries are effectively planned, managed and coordinated in accordance with project logistics plans.
- Supporting bid teams with logistics strategies and site organisation plans for key project tenders.
- Working with project teams and supply chain partners to reduce waste, improve environmental performance and increase site productivity.
- Collaborating with procurement teams to influence supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring logistics plans are effectively implemented across projects.
- Supporting project and client teams to deliver effective waste management and environmental strategies.

What we're looking for:
- Demonstrable experience within a logistics, materials management or site operations role.
- Experience working within the construction, engineering or building services sector.
- Strong understanding of project logistics, materials control and site organisation principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery objectives.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
What will make you stand out?
- Experience supporting logistics operations across multiple construction projects.
- Knowledge of stores management, plant utilisation and material handling best practice.
- Experience supporting project mobilisation and pre-construction planning activities.
- Previous experience working within an MEP or building services environment.
