Your new company
Our client is a successful international organisation with global sales, high-quality products, and significant ambition to build on this foundation to deliver an even stronger business. Operating in a fast-moving environment, this role is focused on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high operational standards and supporting continued growth across the EMEA region.
Your new role
As Senior Logistics Manager, EMEA, you will take responsibility for Freight inbound from Far East, and multiple 3PLs based in the UK and mainland Europe. Working closely with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders and internal stakeholders, you will oversee warehousing, transportation, inventory management and distribution activities, ensuring products move efficiently from manufacturing sites in China to European DC's and to customers.
You will drive service improvements, manage logistics budgets and costs, monitor logistics performance, oversee freight operations and customs compliance, and support the successful execution of day-to-day logistics activities. This is a hands-on leadership position that combines strategic planning with operational delivery, including direct involvement in ERP, WMS and logistics systems when required. You will also lead and develop a small logistics team and act as a key escalation point for operational issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in a similar role, and could already be proven at EMEA level, or be ready to take that step up. You will have a proven track record of managing third-party logistics providers and international freight operations. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, transportation management and logistics cost control is essential.
Applicants should be comfortable working with ERP and warehouse management systems, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and have previous experience leading or supervising a team. An additional European Language (e.g. French, Spanish or German) is an advantage but not essential. Knowledge of UK and EU customs regulations, and exposure to systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite would be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
You will join an international business in a highly visible leadership role with the opportunity to influence logistics strategy, improve operational performance and support continued business growth across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will receive a competitive package to suit their experience. This is a hybrid role based in Hampshire with occasional European travel (approx. 1 trip per quarter).
