Our Operations & Supply Chain function plays a critical role in delivering our first-of-a-kind SMR and future global fleet. Logistics is central to this, ensuring the safe, efficient, and predictable movement of materials across factories, construction sites, and customer locations worldwide.
Senior Logistics Operations Manager
In this context, we’re looking for a Senior Logistics Operations Manager to lead the strategic management, governance, and performance of our global logistics partners, ensuring our end-to-end logistics execution aligns with business objectives, cost targets, and service levels across multiple geographies. Reporting into our Head of Logistics Operations, you’ll be the key interface between internal stakeholders and external logistics partners, driving continuous innovation, risk mitigation, and long-term value creation.
What You’ll Do
- Leading an indirect headcount of c.30, initially, you will develop and execute logistics partners strategies with our global 3PL/4PL network and local transport partners. This will include:
- The development and execution of logistics partners strategies, including regional requirements and operational resilience
- Delivering a contracted and governed logistics partner ecosystem, with measurable service-level compliance and recovery protocols
- Responsibility for the development and management of performance dashboards tracking cost, HSE, vehicle status, and environmental KPIs
- Managing logistics budgets and cost models with the delivery of cost reduction and value engineering initiatives, without compromising service

You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Deep understanding of multimodal freight, 3PL/4PL ecosystems, and ERP-based performance reporting with a focus on Service Excellence and Continuous Innovative solutions
- Hands-on experience of strategically managing global logistics providers or freight forwarders across UK & Europe

Location & Ways of Working
This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester, or Warrington offices, with hybrid working and regular engagement across our sites and partners.
What’s In It For You
We anticipate paying a salary of between £75,300 - £93,200 DOE plus:
- Bonus – Performance-related target opportunity 17%
- Benefits Allowance – £5,000 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
- Pension – 12% employer and 6% employee contributions
- Holidays – 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
- Private Medical Insurance – Company-funded single cover, with option to add dependants
- Life Assurance – 6x pensionable pay
- Income Protection – 50% of base salary (subject to scheme rules)
- £250 – One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases

Pay Range
£71,000.00 - £93,187.50

Our Application Process
Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening. These are:
- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
