Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Remote (UK) | Up to £110,000 Base + Bonus

If you enjoy solving difficult machine learning problems at scale and want a role where your work directly influences product and commercial decisions, this could be a great fit. You'll join a business where ML is at the core of what they do, with the freedom to shape technical direction while staying close to the engineering.

The Company

They are a profitable, AI-focused technology company that has grown significantly in recent years and operates across multiple international markets. Machine learning is central to their product, powering large-scale decision making and optimisation systems in real time.

The engineering culture is highly collaborative, with a strong focus on ownership, experimentation and continuous improvement. It's the kind of environment where technical ideas are valued and good engineers have a genuine influence on the direction of the platform.

The Role

As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the ML function while remaining hands-on with model development and platform engineering.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
