You'll be responsible for selling Akamai Cloud and Cybersecurity solutions to new customers across the UK&I. Operating as a hands-on Individual Contributor, owning the pursuit and closure of large, complex deals within your assigned territory. You'll be supported by cross-functional internal teams. From solutions engineering, product specialists, partner managers & marketing. All chartered with the same goal - to accelerate new customer acquisition.
As a Major Account Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Owning the pursuit and closure of large, complex new logo deals with full accountability for deal strategy, execution, and outcomes.
- Working with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and resources.
- Working closely with Marketing to drive events/GTM activities that will help with prospecting activity in your assigned territory.
- Adopting and using 'hunting' sales tools & best practices.

- Demonstrate a successful track record of selling cybersecurity cloud, or internet-based technology solutions to enterprise class-companies.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of technology and the Internet, including cybersecurity
- Have experience working in a collaborative, results oriented environment building executive level relationships with high-level customers.
- Have familiarity with MEDDIC sales methodology / be willing to learn it.
- Have good written and verbal communication skills, exceptional time management skills, and a growth mindset.
