Sinewave
Sinewave was founded in 2015 with a clear mission from the very start - everything that we do will always be a power for good. Since then, we have gone from a living room start-up to a leading force within the energy transformation sector. Not bad, eh!
We are on a mission to help power the future more sustainably. But don't just take our word for it, we are the only B-Corp Certified ICP in the world.
We’re part of powering the UK’s energy transition with innovative high and low voltage electrical solutions up to 400kV. From EV charging to renewables and commercial projects, we design, deliver, and maintain networks with sustainability and efficiency at heart. Join us to drive change and make an impact!
This Role:
We are looking for a Senior Major Projects Project Manager to join our growing team, based in Swindon with UK travel. The salary band for this role is £75,000 to £85,000.
You will own a portfolio of 33-132kV projects, including switchgear and primary substations for renewable technologies, from award through to completion. As a key customer contact, you will work closely with our Commercial, Design and Supply Chain teams to deliver projects safely, on time, to the required quality and within budget.
An Idea of What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing a portfolio of complex, multi-million-pound major projects from award to completion, with clear ownership of programme, scope, resources, quality, budget and profitability.
- Taking responsibility for project P&L accounts, cost forecasting, financial control and routine operational and commercial reporting.
- Acting as the escalation point for customers, contract partners and internal teams on delivery, finance, contractual and communication matters.
- Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, including Commercial, Design and Supply Chain, to onboard projects and maintain accurate cost information.
- Defining and embedding effective project controls and governance, including current programmes of work, milestone management, change control and dependency logs.
- Forecasting resources and managing cross-programme dependencies so that risks, decisions and delivery priorities remain visible.
- Overseeing project costs and identifying practical, innovative ways to improve delivery efficiency and maximise profitability.
- Providing project feedback, recommendations and lessons learned to the Commercial team.
- Making timely decisions and attending sites across the UK when needed to troubleshoot issues, monitor quality or conduct audits.
- Delivering projects sustainably, with due consideration for competence, capability and safety.
- Mentoring colleagues across the Major Projects Project Management team and supporting their continued development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
