Are you a recently qualified accountant looking for your next challenge in a business that's evolving at pace? We are working with a rapidly growing, purpose-led organisation that plays a critical role in supporting communities across the UK. The business provides essential services to vulnerable individuals and works closely with public sector partners, including government bodies and local authorities, to deliver high-quality accommodation and support solutions.

Following a period of significant growth, the organisation is now investing further in its finance function. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join at a time of transformation, increased focus and operational improvement.

With a major finance systems implementation planned, alongside a drive to enhance processes, strengthen controls and improve the quality of management information, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact and help shape how finance supports the future growth of the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting while helping to develop a more robust, efficient and commercially focused finance function.

This is a role for someone who enjoys looking beyond the numbers - someone who can identify opportunities, challenge existing processes and work collaboratively across the business to drive improvements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
