Overview

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver accurate month-end reporting, including journal preparation, variance analysis and submission of financial results in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring risks are identified, investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities by providing reliable financial data and analysis.
  • Monitor business costs and spending, helping stakeholders make informed decisions while maintaining financial discipline.
  • Assist with internal, external and client audit requirements, ensuring documentation and controls are maintained to a high standard.
  • Drive efficiencies through process improvements and support the effective use of financial systems and reporting tools.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, Shared Service teams and business stakeholders, while supporting and guiding Finance Assistants to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Skills we're looking for

  • Experience in management accounting and financial reporting within a corporate or commercial environment.
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
  • Ability to analyse financial information and communicate insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and finding better ways of working.
  • Ability to work confidently to deadlines while maintaining accuracy and delivering a high standard of work.
