Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment is partnering with an industry-leading multi-site business to recruit an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join its growing finance team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified accountant with strong analytical and business partnering skills who thrives in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across a multi-site business, you will provide insightful financial analysis, challenge performance, support strategic decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in management accounting, financial planning and analysis, variance reporting, and data-driven decision making, coupled with advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis, performance reporting, and insightful commentary.
- Partnering with operational and senior management teams across multiple sites to provide financial support, challenge, and commercial insight.
- Presenting monthly financial results, KPI performance, and actionable recommendations in management meetings and stakeholder reviews.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning activities across a complex, multi-site operational portfolio.
- Producing robust financial models and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to improve visibility of financial and operational performance.
- Managing large volumes of financial and operational data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and meaningful analysis.
- Monitoring capital expenditure, financial provisions, and investment performance.
- Conducting detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with financial controls and accounting standards.
- Supporting year-end audit requirements and responding to requests from Group Finance and external auditors.
- Working closely with operational teams through regular site visits to understand business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and financial control.

The Successful Candidate

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Minimum 4 years' experience within a Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partner role.
- Previous experience supporting a multi-site operation is essential.
- Strong background in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis.
- Proven experience delivering detailed variance analysis and translating financial information into meaningful business insights.
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation, and financial modelling.
- Strong Power BI experience, including dashboard development and performance reporting.
- Excellent data handling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and identify trends.
- Confident presenting financial information to senior stakeholders and non-finance audiences.
- Proven business partnering experience with the ability to influence decision-making and challenge performance constructively.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrable experience driving process improvements and enhancing reporting frameworks.
- Highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across operational sites as required.
