Job Title: Senior Management Accountant (12-Month FTC)
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Competitive Day Rate or Equivalent Base Salary + Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is a pivotal, high-visibility role responsible for driving robust financial management, delivering board-level management reporting, and providing strategic commercial support across key operational business units. You will act as a key financial lead during a period of ongoing projects and growth, ensuring strong financial controls and insightful variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Management Reporting: Lead the end-to-end month-end process, producing accurate, timely management accounts, P&L analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Planning & Forecasting: Own the annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes, working closely with heads of department to model business drivers.
- Business Partnering: Build strong working relationships with non-finance budget holders to challenge assumptions, control costs, and identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital monitoring, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Process & Controls Improvement: Review and enhance existing financial reporting processes, controls, and management information (MI) systems.
- Audit & Compliance: Support year-end audit preparation and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant: Hold a full professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in a fast-paced corporate environment with strong business partnering skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in month-end closing, financial modeling, and advanced Excel skills; experience with modern ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Workday, or Oracle) is highly advantageous.
- Communication: Ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable commercial insights for non-finance leaders.
- Adaptability: Comfortable stepping into an established team, hitting the ground running, and taking immediate ownership of the reporting cycle.
