A growing and fast-paced organisation is seeking a technically strong Senior Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller during a period of transformation. This is a hands-on role offering significant exposure to complex accounting matters, financial reporting and process improvement within a busy finance function.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in the delivery of accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness. This position will suit a qualified accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, improving controls and driving best practice across finance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts and supporting the month-end close process
- Preparing and maintaining detailed balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
- Owning accrued and deferred revenue accounting
- Supporting and leading elements of the external audit process
- Delivering accurate WIP reporting and analysis
- Business partnering with Ops
- Working across multiple systems to improve data quality and reporting accuracy
- Strengthening financial controls and identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll be a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
- Previous experience within a consulting or project-based environment
- Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and balance sheet controls
- Strong systems aptitude and advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting audits and improving finance processes
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach combined with strong interpersonal skills
