Senior Management Accountant
Worcestershire | On-site Monday to Friday
£45,000 to £60,000 + benefits
We are working with an established manufacturing group to recruit a Senior Management Accountant into a key role within its finance team.
This is a broad management accounting position with responsibility for producing accurate and timely management information, supporting operational decision-making and acting as a senior point of escalation for the transactional finance team.
The role offers a clear development path towards a Financial Controller position and could suit either an experienced Management Accountant looking for their next step, or someone already operating at Senior Management Accountant level.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Budgeting, forecasting and supporting wider financial planning
- Balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams to understand business performance
- Providing financial analysis to support decision-making
- Acting as a point of escalation for transactional finance queries and workload
- Supporting improvements to financial controls, reporting and processes
- Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance leadership team

About you:
- Previous management accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred, although strong QBE candidates with relevant industry experience will be considered
- Comfortable working across both management accounts and the wider finance function
- Strong Excel and systems capability
- Commercially aware with the confidence to work closely with non-finance stakeholders
- Ambitious and interested in progressing towards Financial Controller level

The business is open-minded on level. Candidates stepping up into a more senior management accounting role are likely to sit towards the lower end of the salary range, while experienced Senior Management Accountants with broader responsibility can be considered towards the top end.
