Lead Financial Excellence in a Growing Professional Services Environment

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to lead our Record to Report (R2R) function within a large, complex organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take ownership of financial reporting processes, lead a high-performing team, and drive continuous improvement across the finance function.

The Role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will manage a team of finance professionals and oversee the end-to-end financial close and reporting process. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial information, maintaining strong controls, and delivering valuable insight to support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and motivate a team of Management Accountants and Assistant Accountants.
  • Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations, journals and accounting schedules.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Produce management accounts, KPI reporting, variance analysis and financial commentary.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to provide financial insight and support business decisions.
  • Lead intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities through robust financial analysis.
  • Act as a key contact for external auditors.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and finance transformation projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
