Reporting to the Finance Business Partner
You'll play a key role in providing financial control, reporting and commercial support for an exciting new project within our Highways division.
You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, forecasting and commercial insight, helping the business make informed decisions while maintaining robust financial governance.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in our Warwick HQ 1-2 days per week.
What you’ll do:
- Own the financial control and monthly reporting for key Highways contracts.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and financial analysis.
- Attend and lead financial input into monthly contract review meetings.
- Partner with Project Managers and Contract Service Managers, providing commercial challenge, guidance and financial insight.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and robust forecasting of costs, accruals and contract performance.
- Support the Business Lead in delivering financial targets and achieving forecast performance.
- Identify financial risks and ensure appropriate mitigation plans are in place.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, controls and processes.

Who you are:
You're a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong management accounting experience gained within a fast-paced, project-based environment. You're commercially minded, proactive and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Ability to produce accurate monthly management accounts and deliver insightful variance analysis.
- Commercially minded with the ability to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with the confidence to present financial information to senior leaders.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP and financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
