Senior Management Accountant – Growing Restaurant Group

Salary: Up to £65,000
Full-time, permanent Hybrid

Smyth & Co is exclusively representing one of London’s most exciting and ambitious high-end restaurant groups in the search for a Senior Management Accountant.

This is far from a traditional, overly corporate accounting position. You’ll join a fast-growing hospitality business with an energetic culture, impressive venues, and further expansion planned. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you’ll have genuine exposure to the commercial decisions driving the group’s growth.

The Role

  • Produce monthly management accounts across multiple venues
  • Analyse restaurant-level P&Ls, margins, labour costs, and performance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow reporting
  • Provide clear commercial analysis and recommendations to senior management
  • Support month-end and year-end close
  • Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls
  • Work closely with restaurant leaders to improve profitability
  • Support new openings, investment projects, and continued group growth
  • Help develop and improve financial systems and reporting processes

About You

  • Finalist, part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
  • Strong management accounting experience
  • Hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or multi-site consumer experience would be advantageous
  • Commercially minded and interested in how businesses operate, not simply producing reports
  • Confident working with both finance and operational stakeholders
  • Strong Excel and financial systems skills
  • Proactive, personable, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment
  • Ambitious and keen to progress as the group continues to grow
