Scamp & Dude is looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to join us on a fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave within our Finance team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a hands-on role at a purpose-led, fast-growing fashion brand, helping to keep our finance function running smoothly while supporting performance, reporting, forecasting and decision-making across the business.

The Role

This is a full-time maternity cover role, reporting into the CFO, with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, including Buying, Merchandising, Operations, Digital Marketing and Retail, providing insight, control and support across key areas of financial performance.

The role is based 2 to 3 days per week in our Marlow office, with the remainder working from home.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll oversee monthly management accounts, reporting and reforecasting, support channel profitability analysis across e-commerce and stores, manage cashflow and cost control, and help ensure strong financial systems, processes and controls are maintained.

You’ll also manage and support the finance team, lead balance sheet reconciliations, contribute to budgeting and audit activity, and provide clear, commercial insight to help the business identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.

Business Performance & Reporting

  • Produce monthly management accounts comparing budget/forecast and prior year, providing key insights and recommendations
  • Provide channel profitability analysis focusing on gross margin and KPIs, including:
    • E-commerce: traffic and conversion, revenue per order, fulfilment costs, digital marketing acquisition costs, return rates, and customer service metrics
    • Stores: customer footfall and conversion, average basket value, payroll-to-sales, and stock management
  • Work with the buying and merchandising teams to provide oversight of purchasing, margins, inventory health, and supply-chain finance
  • Protect and monitor margin at SKU/category level, including seasonal markdown planning and sell-through targets

Operational Finance Collaboration

  • Work with the Operations team on supply-chain cost analysis (freight, duty, warehousing), including the impact on landed margins and ILG reconciliations
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team on promotional and marketing ROI tracking, discounting strategies, influencer activity, and affiliate campaigns

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Act as a day-to-day point of contact with IT, operations and external partners on routine system issues (excludes leading NetSuite/Celigo integration projects — see note above)
  • Maintain existing reconciliation processes between sales channels, stock movement, and financial reporting

Team Leadership & Financial Control

  • Manage the finance team to ensure accurate financial records in line with regulations, monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (signed off by this role), and ongoing development of team members
  • Manage and forecast company cashflows, ensuring suppliers are paid in line with agreed terms and strong cash management practices are maintained, including placing spare funds on deposit

  • Attend monthly meetings to review management reports
  • Hold the business to account for P&L performance, identifying areas for cost improvement
  • Support the business to identify risks and opportunities
  • VAT Returns (Quarterly)
