Senior Management Accountant - SaaS & Finance Transformation

£80,000–£90,000 + Bonus + Share Incentive
London – Liverpool Street | Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home

Build the finance function — don’t just maintain it

We’re partnering with an established international SaaS technology business entering its next phase of development following a recent take-private transaction.

They are looking for a technically strong, hands-on Senior Management Accountant to take ownership of the month-end close and help transform the day-to-day finance operation.

This is not a role where you will inherit a fully optimised finance function and simply follow existing processes, it's a transformational environment and that should be a key attraction for you.

The business is looking for someone who can improve the quality and reliability of financial reporting, strengthen balance-sheet controls, resolve historical issues and create more efficient, clearly documented processes.

The current environment includes:

  • A month-end close that needs greater structure, control and predictability
  • Balance-sheet accounts requiring further reconciliation and review
  • A multi-entity, international finance operation
  • Legacy processes and undocumented system workarounds
  • An ERP environment that is expected to evolve over the coming period

The role

The successful person will form the critical link between the Financial Controller and the junior finance team: technically credible, comfortable remaining hands-on and capable of raising the standard of the wider function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will own the production of the month-end close across a multi-entity international SaaS business.

You will be responsible for ensuring that reporting is accurate, reconciliations are robust and issues are identified and resolved rather than carried forward.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the month-end close across multiple international entities
  • Producing complete and accurate monthly management accounts
  • Preparing reporting and analysis for senior management and the board
  • Completing and reviewing detailed balance-sheet reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving historical accounting issues
  • Managing multi-currency consolidations and intercompany accounting
  • Ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue are accurately recorded
  • Supporting VAT, tax, statutory reporting and external audit requirements
  • Improving financial controls and month-end procedures
  • Documenting processes and eliminating reliance on undocumented workarounds
  • Supporting cash-flow forecasting and wider financial planning
  • Identifying opportunities for systems improvement, automation and better use of data
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior members of the finance team

About you

You will be a qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA or CIMA — with strong, recent experience within a SaaS business.

You should already be operating at Senior Management Accountant, Finance Manager or equivalent level and be comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of the close rather than contributing to only one part of it.
