About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team on a six-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving financial planning, performance, and strategic decision-making within a complex, regulated environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders, providing high-quality financial insight, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial support to enable informed business decisions. Acting as a trusted finance partner, they will build strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring financial integrity and supporting the long-term sustainability and operational efficiency of the organisation.
The role will also involve coaching and developing colleagues in business partnering best practice and providing cover for the Finance Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance contact for senior-level stakeholders, providing expert financial advice and insight.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business planning activities.
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvements to financial planning and management accounting processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ensure robust financial controls, governance, and compliance are maintained.
- Coach and support colleagues to strengthen business partnering capabilities across the finance team.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager as required.

Requirements
Our client is looking for a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong management accounting and Finance Business Partnering experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial financial support.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience of financial controls, governance, and risk management.
- A proactive, commercially focused approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using SAP S/4HANA (S/4).

- Salary: £62,952
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
