Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Led by a former Big 4 leader, the Accounting Advisory group provides advice on a range of complex strategic and operational accounting matters, working directly with clients in addition to offering exposure to Partners and other senior stakeholders within the wider firm. We are excellently positioned to scale-up and the team is positioned uniquely as a start-up inside a hugely successful business.

In terms of market sectors, the primary focus of the group is private equity and broader asset management. However, there are ongoing projects which interplay with the firm’s prestigious private capital client base.

The Role

The individual will play a key role in the Accounting Advisory practice, taking ownership of accounting matters, and will work alongside the Accounting Advisory Lead to develop and expand the practice.

On a day-to-day basis, the role will encompass:

  • Taking ownership of technical accounting advisory mandates, delivering pragmatic, tailored advice on transactional and other ad-hoc matters (including M&A, group reconstructions, and incentive plan structures);
  • Contributing to expansion of the practice, through developing strong internal networks with other specialists and lawyers, and inputting into knowledge-sharing and marketing materials; and
  • Coaching junior team members and other staff from across the wider firm.
