Do you want to lead the delivery of AI & Data programmes that are shaping the future of Central Government?

Technology & Transformation

Across Central Government, organisations are under increasing pressure to deliver efficient, citizen-centric services while maintaining the highest standards of security, accountability, and regulatory compliance. AI and Generative AI have the potential to transform how government operates - from policy development through to service delivery - but require careful orchestration, governance, and delivery discipline to succeed in complex, secure environments.

That is exactly what you will help our clients to achieve. You will lead large-scale AI programmes that move beyond experimentation, ensuring solutions are delivered reliably, securely, and at scale - driving measurable outcomes for departments, agencies, and the public.

These five shared values lead every decision we make and action we take, guiding us to deliver impact how and where it matters most.

Connect to your opportunity

We are seeking to hire experienced AI Programme Delivery Leads within our AI Scaling and Transformation team, a centre of excellence in Deloitte’s Engineering, AI & Data service offering.

You will work with senior client stakeholders, third parties, and Deloitte teams across the Firm to lead the delivery of complex AI and data programmes in Central Government. This is a Senior Manager role where you will be responsible for programme leadership, governance, and successful execution across multiple workstreams in highly regulated and secure environments.

As an AI Programme Delivery Lead, you will play a critical role in delivering transformation at scale. In this role, you may be expected to:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of AI and data programmes, ensuring alignment to client objectives, governance requirements, and delivery commitments.
  • Establish and manage programme governance structures, including RAID management, reporting, controls, and assurance processes across multiple workstreams.
  • Engage senior client stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and provide clear visibility of progress, risks, and delivery outcomes.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, data scientists, architects, and business analysts, to ensure integrated and effective delivery.
  • Drive delivery planning, resource management, and dependency management across complex, multi-vendor environments.
  • Ensure AI solutions are delivered in line with security, privacy, regulatory, and responsible AI frameworks applicable to Central Government.
  • Oversee delivery quality and performance, proactively managing risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful programme outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
