Job Description
Help Europe's leading acquirers grow B2B payment volume by identifying opportunities, developing growth strategies, strengthening capabilities, commercializing new solutions and accelerating supplier adoption.
Role Purpose
Partner with Visa's priority European acquirers and acquirer-issuer partners to accelerate B2B payment acceptance growth by identifying commercial opportunities, developing growth strategies, strengthening B2B capabilities, and supporting the delivery of scalable acceptance solutions.
The role combines business development, strategic client engagement, and solution advisory support to help acquirers grow commercial payment volume, increase supplier acceptance, commercialize new capabilities, and unlock new payment flows.
Role Summary
This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and growth partner to Visa's priority acquirer and acquirer-issuer clients, helping them identify, develop and convert B2B payment opportunities.
Working closely with Product, Commercialization, Acceptance, Issuing, VCA, VAS, Sales and regional market teams, the role will help clients:
- Build stronger sales pipelines and grow commercial payment volume
- Expand B2B supplier acceptance
- Assess current capabilities and growth constraints
- Build and strengthen B2B payment propositions
- Develop and execute B2B growth strategies
- Increase supplier adoption and payment volume
- Commercialise new acceptance capabilities and solutions
- Scale successful models across markets, industries and supplier segments
The role requires a blend of commercial acumen, B2B acquiring expertise, strategic thinking, client engagement and business development experience.
Key Responsibilities
Acquirer Growth & Business Development:
- Manage a portfolio of priority European acquirers.
- Build relationships with senior commercial, product, sales and acquiring leaders.
- Identify and develop B2B acceptance growth opportunities.
- Lead strategic discussions around B2B acceptance growth, investment priorities and market opportunities.
- Support acquirers in building and executing B2B sales and growth plans.
- Develop growth strategies focused on supplier acquisition, activation and payment volume growth.
- Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and executive engagements.
- Translate market opportunities into actionable commercial initiatives and client roadmaps.
- Help acquirers identify and prioritise opportunities across key industries, verticals and supplier segments.

B2B Strategy & Advisory
- Assess acquirer B2B acceptance capabilities, market positioning and competitive strengths.
- Identify capability gaps and opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Bring industry best practices and competitive insights to client engagements.
- Develop business cases and value propositions to support client investment decisions.
- Advise clients on go-to-market strategies, sales motions and execution priorities.
- Support the development of B2B acceptance growth plans and multi-year roadmaps.
Solution Development & Commercialisation
- Support clients in identifying and addressing B2B acceptance capability gaps.
- Partner with Visa product and solution teams to bring relevant capabilities to market.
- Support adoption and commercialisation of solutions including:
- Commercial card acceptance
- Supplier enablement
- Embedded acceptance
- Virtual card-enabled acceptance
- Acceptance automation and straight-through processing solutions
- Emerging B2B acceptance capabilities
- Help clients develop scalable propositions, business cases and commercialization plans.
- Share market best practices and successful client examples to accelerate adoption.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Coordinate internal Visa stakeholders across Product, Acceptance, Issuing, Commercialisation, VCA, Sales, Marketing and VAS teams.
- Support programme governance, reporting and performance tracking.
- Capture and share best practices across the broader B2B Acceptance organisation.
- Contribute to the development of repeatable frameworks, playbooks and growth methodologies.
- Act as a voice of the client, influencing internal priorities and identifying opportunities to improve Visa's B2B acceptance proposition.

Success Measures (KPIs)
- Incremental B2B acceptance volume growth
- Growth in active B2B suppliers accepting commercial cards.
- New B2B opportunities identified, qualified and converted.
- Qualified pipeline generated across priority acquirers.
- Number of acquirer growth plans developed and successfully executed.
- Adoption of B2B acceptance solutions and capabilities.
- Revenue growth attributable to supported clients.
- Executive stakeholder engagement and client satisfaction.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in merchant acquiring, B2B payments, commercial payments, acceptance or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience working with acquirers on B2B payment acceptance growth, proposition development or commercialization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of merchant acquiring, commercial card acceptance and B2B payment flows.
- Proven track record of developing commercial opportunities and driving revenue growth.
- Experience working directly with acquirers, financial institutions, payment providers or fintechs.
- Experience influencing senior executives and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong business development, relationship management and client engagement skills.
- Ability to operate independently and lead strategic client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commercial cards and B2B acceptance.
- Experience in acquiring product management, sales leadership or business development.
- Knowledge of supplier enablement, embedded payments, payment facilitation and acceptance solutions.
- Experience working across multiple European markets.
- Payments consulting experience.
