We are now seeking a Senior Manager, Business Transformation & Strategy to support the execution of Shionogi Europe’s strategic agenda and transformation priorities. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for supporting strategic planning, transformation governance, business performance management and executive reporting across the organisation.

About the Role
As Senior Manager, Business Transformation & Strategy, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of and execution of strategic priorities across Shionogi Europe. You will support in development of strategy in Shionogi Europe, and partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, monitor progress against key initiatives, and deliver with measurable outcomes.
The role combines strategic planning, transformation management, business performance monitoring, and executive support to enhance organizational effectiveness and drive enterprise priorities. Working with European cross-functional leadership and with our HQ in Japan, you will help drive alignment, governance, improve organisational effectiveness while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Performance
- Support strategic planning, business reviews, and performance tracking across Shionogi Europe.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, KPIs, and recommendations for senior leaders.
Transformation Office & Programme Management
- Support the Transformation Office and strategic initiatives portfolio.
- Monitor programme delivery, manage governance activities, and drive accountability for results.
Strategic Insights & Business Intelligence
- Provide analysis and insights to support strategic decisions and investment priorities.
- Support business cases, scenario planning, and performance reporting.
Governance & Organisational Effectiveness
- Support leadership governance, strategic planning forums, and decision-making processes.
- Drive follow-through on key actions and identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships across Europe and global headquarters.
- Facilitate collaboration, alignment, and change initiatives to deliver strategic priorities.
Executive Reporting & Strategic Communication
- Develop executive presentations, strategic updates, and business reviews.
- Create clear, insight-led reporting for leadership, Board, and global stakeholders.

What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for an analytically driven professional with strategic thinking, analytical depth, and executive communication skills. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment, managing multiple priorities and engaging effectively with senior stakeholders across the business.
You Will Bring:
- Experience in management consulting (mainly from top tier consulting companies such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, LEK, Kearney) is essential; additional experience in business transformation, strategy execution, or PMO is desirable.
- Strong understanding of strategic planning, business operations and organisational performance management.
- Experience working with Management Teams and Leadership teams, supporting transformation programmes and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and structured thinking capabilities.
- Strong project and portfolio management skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups without direct authority.
- Experience working within pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of change management principles and organisational effectiveness.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Advanced PowerPoint, Excel and executive communication skills are essential.
- Experience working within international and matrix organisations.
