Manchester | Hybrid - 3 days in the office | Up to c.£85k–£88k + benefits
I’m working on a fairly specialist Senior Manager opportunity in Manchester that I think will appeal to someone who enjoys the advisory side of finance just as much as the technical side.
This isn’t a standard portfolio accounting role and it isn’t really aimed at someone whose experience has mainly been with smaller owner-managed businesses.
About the Role
The team works with larger, more complex organisations, often with an international element, providing senior-level finance support across areas such as management reporting, statutory reporting, finance function support, systems and process improvement, controls, project work, and wider commercial finance advice.
There’s also a genuine opportunity here to help shape and grow the offering in Manchester. You’d be taking ownership of senior client relationships, leading teams, overseeing delivery, and getting involved in one-off finance projects, while also having a commercial role in developing new relationships and helping build the local market.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The role would particularly suit somebody at Senior Manager level within Outsourced Finance, CFO Advisory, Accounting Advisory, Finance Managed Services, or Finance Advisory, or somebody from industry with a strong practice background who misses the variety and client-facing side.
It’s a senior hire, but also one where there is quite a lot of room to make your mark rather than simply stepping into a very established remit.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is flexible up to the mid/high £80ks depending on experience, with an excellent wider benefits package on top.
