Senior Manager – Clinical Operations & Quality
Location: London or Edinburgh – Hybrid
Employment: Permanent
Are you an experienced Clinical Operations professional looking for an opportunity to shape how clinical development is delivered across a growing and highly innovative organisation?
We are partnering with a leading UK medical research organisation focused on translating cutting-edge science into new treatments, diagnostics, and technologies for patients. As they continue to expand their clinical development capabilities, they are looking for a Senior Manager, Clinical Operations & Quality to help build and implement the frameworks, processes, and systems supporting their clinical portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong hands-on Clinical Operations experience with a passion for operational excellence, quality, and process improvement.
The Role
You will work across Clinical Development and wider cross-functional teams to establish scalable and effective ways of working across the organisation's clinical programmes.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and improving Clinical Operations frameworks, processes, SOPs, systems, and tools
- Establishing consistent approaches to clinical governance and trial oversight
- Supporting the implementation of clinical quality standards and ensuring GCP compliance
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence
- Working closely with CROs, academic institutions, clinical sites, and external partners
- Developing guidance, templates, and training for clinical teams
- Supporting inspection and audit readiness across clinical programmes
- Driving adoption of new processes and ways of working across cross-functional teams
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience within Clinical Operations / Clinical Development
- Experience delivering and overseeing clinical trials within biotech, pharma, CRO, academia, or a research organisation
- Demonstrated experience developing or improving clinical processes, SOPs, frameworks, or systems
- Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, clinical quality, and research governance
- Experience working with CROs and external clinical partners
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable working hands-on
