Senior Manager, Clinical Portfolio – London or Edinburgh
I’m currently supporting a leading organisation within the life sciences sector looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Clinical Portfolio to join their Clinical Research & Innovation team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong clinical development expertise to play a key role in evaluating clinical programmes, shaping development strategy and supporting portfolio-level decisions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead clinical diligence and assessment of potential and existing clinical projects.
- Review clinical development plans, protocols and study designs, assessing feasibility, risk and likelihood of success.
- Support evidence-based portfolio and funding decisions through clinical evaluation and recommendations.
- Oversee clinical projects across the portfolio, including milestones, risks, external partners and delivery.
- Support governance, reporting and strategic decision-making across clinical programmes.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.

Key experience:
- Significant experience within clinical development, clinical trials or clinical research.
- Experience conducting clinical diligence, assessment or evaluation of programmes and development plans.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, development pathways and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing complex clinical projects, programmes or portfolios.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience.
