The role is part of the Accounting Services Team and will be responsible for managing the monthly and close global operations activities in line with Global processes and policies
Responsibilities
- Lead a close operations team in the delivery of the global monthly and close transactions
- Ensure accurate, timely and reliable delivery of monthly standard journal entries (including but not limited to Payroll, Prepayments, Accruals, Reclassification, Inventory Validation)
- Ensure accurate, timely and reliable delivery of monthly close transactions (Goods in Transit, Foreign Exchange, Blocked Billing Document management, COGS Transfer)
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of local entity data into group consolidation system (FCORE)
- Lead co-ordination and delivery of external and internal audit requests
- Review and approve applicable balance sheet reconciliations
- Drive global standardisation and processes as part of shared service centre evolution under a close operations team
- Support continuous improvement plans and projects
- Support Financial Controllers team ensuring collaboration and strong relationship foundations
General people management activities
Education Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degree in related field desirable
- Professional certification desirable (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)

Experience Requirements
- 7+ years' relevant experience in a multi-national company
- 3-5 years' supervisory or demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience in accounting and finance
- Experience in global scientific/pharmaceutical industry / Shared Service environment highly desirable.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders at varying levels within the organization
- Experience in SAP
- Proven ability to deliver audit reporting deliverables to a tight deadline
This is a hybrid role requiring working 3 days per week at the Liverpool, Speke site
This role is also available for internal employees as a secondment opportunity
