About Unity Advisory

Unity Advisory is a modern advisory business built for today's CFO. It combines deep expertise with an AI-native operating model designed to deliver better evidence, faster execution and stronger client outcomes.

Through direct access to the expertise needed to solve complex challenges and a pace of delivery that enables organisations to seize opportunities, Unity delivers advisory as it should be, through a model that is free from audit conflict.

The Role

As a Senior Manager in our Deals and Value Capture team, you'll lead commercial performance improvement and value capture engagements for PE-backed and corporate clients across the deal and ownership lifecycle; from value-focused CDD and GTM diagnostics, through implementation and ongoing performance improvement, to exit readiness.

Our work spans the full commercial operating system: market, customer and value proposition; GTM model and channel strategy; marketing and sales effectiveness; pricing and monetisation; customer success, retention and expansion; commercial operations and Lead-to-Cash; and AI, analytics and data enablement. You'll bring these levers together into a practical, integrated plan rather than treating them as separate workstreams.

This is a hands-on delivery role. You'll lead workstreams day-to-day, build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and take ownership for moving from diagnosis to implementation. You'll also work closely with the Director/Partner group to shape the practice, feed in what is working on the ground and sharpen our proposition as we build it out.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end commercial performance improvement engagements, spanning value-focused GTM diagnostics, value capture execution, and ongoing performance improvement.
  • Diagnose where commercial value is created or lost using customer, commercial, operational and financial qualitative and quantitative data points; quantify the opportunity and link recommendations to revenue, margin, EBITDA and cash outcomes.
  • Design and deliver work across market segmentation, ICP and value proposition; GTM and channel strategy; marketing effectiveness; sales productivity, pipeline and forecasting; pricing and monetisation; and customer success, retention and expansion.
  • Help clients to build the commercial operating system required to sustain improvement, including GTM processes, commercial governance and operating cadence, and KPI definitions and incentives.
  • Translate analysis into execution through prioritised value cases, 100-day plans, pilots, playbooks, sales motions, adoption measures and benefits tracking, taking ownership for delivered outcomes, not just recommendations.
  • Create clear, decision-ready materials for management teams, boards and investors, including KPI baselines, performance dashboards, value creation roadmaps and diligence-ready evidence packs.
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships with senior stakeholders across commercial, finance, operations, technology and data, acting as the primary point of contact for engagement delivery.
  • Project manage multidisciplinary engagement teams, ensuring quality, pace and commercial impact while coaching and developing junior team members.
  • Contribute to proposals and pitches, including scoping, costing and drafting client-ready materials; identify follow-on opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Develop Unity's commercial performance improvement IP, tools and methodology based on live engagement experience and reusable approaches across the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of consulting or relevant industry experience in front-office, GTM, commercial transformation or performance improvement.
  • A track record of leading commercial transformation or value creation engagements from diagnosis through implementation, ideally including PE-backed portfolio company work.
  • Strong grounding across several commercial levers - for example GTM strategy, marketing or sales effectiveness, pricing, customer success, RevOps or Lead-to-Cash - with the judgement to connect them into an integrated answer.
  • Experience translating commercial strategy into practical operating models, processes, governance, performance cadence, capabilities and technology-enabled ways of working.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with CRM, finance, marketing, customer and operational data to build value cases, identify performance drivers and track realisation.
  • Comfortable managing senior stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams and running complex workstreams with limited oversight.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to turn complex analysis into a clear client narrative, pragmatic choices and an executable plan.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics, automation or AI to commercial decision-making and workflows is advantageous.
  • Desirable: an existing network within the corporate mid-market or Private Equity, and experience working in a smaller, fast-moving advisory environment.
