What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening Product Governance and Conduct Risk across Bank of Ireland UK. You'll help ensure that our products, services and processes deliver good customer outcomes while supporting the Bank's strategic ambitions.
Working within the second line of defence, you'll act as a trusted advisor and constructive challenger, helping the business identify and manage conduct risk, enhance governance frameworks, and embed customer-focused decision making. You'll also have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while influencing change across a wide range of partners.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead the enhancement of the Bank's Product Governance framework, including policies, controls, product approval processes and product lifecycle reviews.
- Provide expert advice, support and constructive challenge on conduct risk matters, helping colleagues understand risks and improve customer outcomes.
- Review and challenge risk management approaches across the business, ensuring conduct risks are identified, managed and monitored effectively.
- Identify emerging conduct, regulatory and reputational risks through horizon scanning, partner engagement and analysis of management information, communicating findings clearly to key partners.
- Manage and develop members of the Conduct Risk Team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment while promoting continuous improvement.

- Product Governance, Conduct Risk or Compliance within a regulated financial services environment.
- Understanding of UK banking operations and the UK regulatory environment.
- Leading change initiatives, developing frameworks or implementing new controls.

At Bank of Ireland UK, our purpose is to be a leading multi-niche bank providing simple, flexible and accessible financial services to customers across the UK. Through strong partnerships and trusted brands, we support customers with mortgage, lending and everyday banking products while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes and responsible growth.
The Conduct Risk team plays an important role in helping the Bank deliver fair customer outcomes and meet regulatory expectations. We work closely with colleagues across the business, providing insight, challenge and support to strengthen governance, manage risk and enhance customer protection.
This is a hybrid role, based primarily in Bristol/London/Belfast. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in-person to support collaboration and connection. Specific arrangements will be confirmed by your recruiter to ensure they meet the needs of the role and team.
