Senior Manager, Core Infrastructure Engineering
Senior Software Engineering Manager – Scalability & Distributed Systems
About the Role
Manages a team delivering scalable, distributed systems on a 2–4 quarter horizon, standardizing engineering practices and defining scalability requirements across teams. Oversees optimization for high-throughput, hyper-scale workloads, ensuring seamless use of distributed state tools and data plane platforms.
Guides teams in designing fault-tolerant, in-service-upgradable systems, setting SLO-aligned durability/availability targets, and implementing resilience strategies such as load-shedding, throttling, and rate-limiting.
- Provides oversight for KPIs, telemetry, and moderately complex dashboards
- Drives design of functional/correctness requirements, fault-injection tests, and replication/synchronization strategies
