Role purpose
Worley’s global Corporate Affairs team supports the business and our leaders by bringing insights to decisions, crafting and amplifying narrative, managing risks, and creating opportunities for our strategy to succeed. The EMEA Corporate Affairs team is part of the global group and partners with the EMEA regional business, which operates across around 18 countries, including a diverse range of cultures and stakeholder environments. EMEA is one of four regions making up Global Operations and is split into four subregional businesses. The EMEA Corporate Affairs team brings regional direction, subregional business partnership, specialist expertise and local activation together through one accountable hub.
As Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs for EMEA, you will lead integrated Corporate Affairs support across the region and be the principal partner to the EMEA President as well as double hatting to support the UK Senior Vice President. You will provide strategic counsel to both leaders, shape an integrated regional approach and maintain direct business partner accountability. You will ensure Corporate Affairs strengthens Worley’s profile, supports growth, protects its reputation and helps leaders engage and inspire employees.
The role
The role is a leadership role within the business partnering team to Global Operations and it has four direct reports - three subregional business partners and the regional storytelling and campaign specialist. It is also part of the extended leadership teams of the EMEA President and UK Senior Vice President.
The successful candidate will lead the regional Corporate Affairs team and have overarching accountability for implementing the strategy, priorities, team performance, quality, governance and risk escalation. They will oversee internal, external and leadership communication, stakeholder engagement, and issues and crisis management, drawing on regional and global specialists, agencies and local networks.
- Be the trusted Corporate Affairs advisor: Serve as the principal Corporate Affairs advisor to the EMEA President and UK Senior Vice President. Join leadership discussions early, bring stakeholder and reputational insight into decisions, provide clear and independent counsel, and constructively challenge when needed.
- Set the regional Corporate Affairs agenda: Translate EMEA business strategy into integrated Corporate Affairs priorities and plans. Connect regional and subregional activity across employees, customers, media, governments, industry and communities, while ensuring alignment with global strategy.
- Lead the EMEA Corporate Affairs team: Set clear expectations and priorities for subregional business partners and regional roles. Develop capability, manage performance, resolve competing demands and deploy resources where they can have the greatest business impact.
- Provide overarching accountability: Remain accountable for the quality, alignment, timing and impact of Corporate Affairs work across EMEA. Establish clear decision rights and ensure subregional partners operate within agreed priorities, standards, approvals and escalation protocols.
- Support growth and build reputation: Shape a coordinated regional approach to positioning Worley around priority markets, customers, projects, capabilities and business development themes. Oversee targeted PR, media, stakeholder engagement, thought leadership and external content in partnership with global teams and approved agencies.
- Strengthen executive and employee comms: Build the visibility of the two leaders through clear narratives, speeches, talking points, stakeholder preparation and thought leadership. Ensure regional and subregional employee communications align teams, reinforce expectations and values, support change and celebrate success.
- Lead issues and crisis preparedness: Maintain a regional view of the operating environment, identify cross-border or material concerns and ensure early escalation. Lead the communications response to significant regional and UK issues and crises in line with global protocols, working with specialist teams and subregional partners.
- Integrate specialist and local support: Bring together subregional partners, regional specialists, global centers of expertise, agencies and the Extended Communications Network. Ensure each has a clear role and that local intelligence and activation are connected to regional direction.
- Measure and improve: Set meaningful measures for regional and subregional activity, evaluate contribution to business priorities, share insights with leaders and continuously improve the team’s approach.

About You
You are a versatile, collaborative and dynamic Corporate Affairs leader who can operate confidently at a regional executive level. You combine strategic judgement with practical delivery, understand how communications supports business growth and reputation, and can lead through ambiguity and pressure situations across diverse markets and cultures.

- Strategic vision and delivery discipline: You connect Corporate Affairs priorities to regional and subregional business strategy, then translate them into focused plans, clear responsibilities and measurable outcomes.
- Storytelling and audience targeting: You understand media, government, customer and market dynamics across EMEA and can turn complex business priorities into credible positioning for different audiences.
- Team player: You work as part of one global Corporate Affairs team, align regional needs with global priorities and bring together specialists, business partners and local networks to deliver the right support.

You must exercise considerable discretion about information communicated and handle serious and sensitive subjects with tact and confidentiality. This role will contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their differences.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 12+ years Corporate Affairs or communications experience, preferably in a complex, global organization
- Demonstrated experience advising executives and coordinating their internal and external communications, including on social media
- Previously managed teams, including setting priorities, managing performance and developing capability
- Willingness and ability to travel within EMEA as required to support leaders, teams and business priorities
- Strong media network and proven ability in PR, stakeholder engagement, and issues or crisis management
- A track record of developing a communications strategy and delivering measurable outcomes
- Experience operating across countries and cultures
- Excellent written and spoken English; proficiency in a relevant second language is advantageous
- Experience managing agencies and external vendors, and in the energy, chemicals and resources industry is also an advantage
